Power cable might not be connected correctly. SATA cable can be faulty, if it's bent to much or there's too much force/strain on the connector side of the SSD, try loosening it up or replace the cable.ģ. Try connecting it to a different machine, or if possible connect it to a external hdd case, and see if it is detected in windows when connected through usb or e-sata.Ģ. The SSD is defect, could be a DOA if it's brand new. Since it is not detected when the SATA mode is set to IDE mode, the most likely causes will be as following.ġ.
